My incredibly creative, bright & artistic 4 year old daughter handed me this eye-sore yesterday.
I nodded my head and said “Wow Reese…pretty cool…tell me about it.” And because she’s 4 she used her ‘what are you stupid’ tone with me when she said: “Mom, look at it. It’s a piece of paper with those package things and straws and glue. A lot of glue. Like a lot a lot. Do you like it?”.
Before I could answer my 6 year old little slice of perfection (Charlie) said “Theresa, it’s not your best work. Do you REALLY want that on the fridge?”
Theresa said “Nope. I don’t to look at this everyday.” Then she threw it in the garbage.
Charlie looked at me and said “You’re welcome, Mom.”
(LOVE HIM FOR THAT) I mildly scolded him for being hurtful – and asked Theresa to please take it out of the garbage so I could put it on the fridge…she said “If you really like it that much, put it in your office so I don’t have to look at it, okay?”
