Ohhhhh…of course they are.

Totally bummed when I got home yesterday and saw my 3 beautiful, ginormous poinsettia plants all wilted & bo-bo looking on the porch. In an attempt to make this a learning experience for all of us, I told the kids we’d go inside and Google it…maybe they need some Miracle Gro or something.
In a very *matter of fact* tone, my 6 year old son said “Mommy. Poinsettia are tropical plants. They’re indigenous to Central America and shouldn’t be left outside in the cold.”
I said “Really?”
He replied “Yeah, mom. Really.”
It took every once of energy I had to NOT say “Shut up and get in the house.”
**Please note: My 6 year old son’s “matter of fact” tone should not be confused with my 4 year old daughter’s “mommy you’re an idiot” tone. They’re totally different.
