She’s not really a puppy. Lolo is our 18 month old Yorkie. We just brought her into our family and we adore her!

Every moment we learn something new about our little Lolo. For instance, yesterday we learned that Lolo TOTALLY HATES wearing doggie clothes. In fact, she froze like a statue!

Does she not realize that pink velour is FABULOUS? It shows off just how skinny she really is!

This past Monday night, Karen and I went to the Black Eyed Peas show at the Hampton Coliseum with some friends.  Before the show, we had a great dinner in Hampton.  The show was packed full of people of all ages from 6 to 60.  It was a very impressive production.  The show had a “technology” theme which was cool.  I thought the sound could have been a lot better.  It was like listening to one giant sub-woofer that you’d rather not hear in someone else’s car as they drive by you.  It was still a fun night and I’m glad we went.  I’ve gotten spoiled during the course of my career which I admit.  Here’s a picture from our seats that came out pretty good.  Don.

Without a doubt, Brian deserves the highest award EVER for being so good TO me, so tolerant OF me – and for being ‘the project’ master (with a perfectionist/type A personality to boot!) – - and I truly appreciate him – - a lot.

In fact, I appreciate him so much, I didn’t scream “Ahhhhhhh! Hardwood floors! Don’t scratch the hardwood floors!!!” when I saw this:

(And let me tell you – the urge to scream “Hardwood Floors!!!!” was as overwhelming as the urge to push during labor!)

All prep completed…the first, most complicated piece has been cut (perfectly!) and fits like a charm!!!

So excited to replace my Ultra-BoBo, cheap, nasty kitchen linoleum with something a little less BoBo…

Will update with each new milestone! So far appliances have been pulled out, quarter round removed, honey verbally appreciated…next up, slicing out the yucky parts of old linoleum that are peeling (so classy!!)…

Tonight, I’m going to see the Black Eyed Peas with Karen at the Hampton Coliseum.  They take the stage at 9:15 pm if you’re going to the show.  There’s a special “Fergie” set where she performs her solo hits to it’s like two concerts in one.  We’ll be going out to dinner ahead of time with friends in Hampton before the show.  We had a great weekend.  Saturday night, we went to a special community service recognition event for one of our sister stations, WVKL.  Here’s a shot of Karen and I from the event.  Have a great week.  Don.

Alright!  Tomorrow is already Friday and it’s going to be a busy and fun weekend.  We’re headed to “Cat’s” the Broadway play tomorrow night in Norfolk.  Saturday night, we have another event to attend called “An Evening Of Blessings”.  Sunday, we’ll be having friends over for a cook out and then Monday night, we’re headed to Hampton to see Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas.  I gotta a feeling we’re going to have a great time.  Wow.  It’s going to fly by!  What are you up to this weekend?  Email me anytime at Don@2wd.com .  Thanks for listening to 101.3, 2WD.  Have a great weekend!

We’re being silly in a Corp meeting! We had a full staff meeting (about 60 of us) because our owner, David Fields, came to town to say ‘hi’. In an effort to “show off” my technological advances (learning to blog from my iPhone) I snapped a quick picture and posted it .
