It is with extraordinary love (and honesty) that I share this story.  A story of blatant stupidity.  I mean BLATANT STUPIDITY!  My boy best friend has become a prisoner in his own home.  Why?  Because he’s stupid.  A couple of months ago he told me about one of his female neighbors who had seemingly been flirting with him, getting dolled up to mow her lawn when he was outside, dashing over whenever he pulled into his driveway, etc. etc.

At one point, I held his face in my hands, went nose to nose with him and very clearly said “Do not, I repeat DO NOT satisfy your manimal urge to accept what is clearly being offered to you.  Do you understand?  Do not do it.”  He said he understood.  He said he wouldn’t go there.

Guess where he went…

Uh-huh.

He said she showed up one night with a cocktail for each of them, and then more cocktails, and then more and more and more.  Although he tried to deny anything happened, I knew – and I called him out on it.  I told him he was lucky they had never gone out on a date, they had minimal conversations and she showed up with liquor…because it means she “gets what it is/was”.

Guess what’s happening now.  Uh-huh.  Yup.  She’s all about him now.  Asking him out…asking where he’s been…getting upset when he doesn’t want to go out with her and her friends.  He has become a prisoner in his own home.

AND IT’S HILARIOUS!  AND IT’S HIS FAULT!  I LOVE IT!

Initially I felt sorry for her and thought this could be inappropriate…BUT…she doesn’t know me, doesn’t know he and I are bbf/gbf…and she’s a grown woman…  Is it a drag?  Yes.  Have a lot of people been there?  Yes.  Is this the first time I’ve witnessed it from the guys side?  Yes.  And it is funny  – yes…because he deserves it!!!  He should be a prisioner in his own home!

Hope it was worth it!  Lucky for him I’m not the kind of friend to say “I TOLD YOU SO!”  Tee-hee!
